What is the status of this Blog??!?!?<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Okay, unbeknownst to me until recently, this blog is full of missing images due to Photobucket gltiching out or changing their polices for free accounts. Hence 95% of the images in this blog are just not there anymore. The process of restoring a hundred or so entries will take time BUT we have an actual website now over at <a href="http://www.bahglenncreations.com/">www.bahglenncreations.com</a> (<i>how have I NEVER made a blog post about this in all these years????</i>) where a lot of the photo comics are starting to appear.<br />
<br />
New resin projects from us ARE finally in the works though which is a great feeling after being stagnant for roughly 5 years. So stay tuned over on our website for updates as I get them. Unlike our last snafu, I am revealing nothing until I get resin castings in my hands.Chris "Bah'glenn" Negrihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00532431568536171239noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8546238445107622780.post-59820987177024139262016-06-30T19:06:00.001-04:002016-06-30T19:06:41.116-04:00We're BACK! Wait, when did we leave??Okay, so things have been going a bit rough over aboard the U.S.S. Bah'glenn Creations over the last few years. Our inventory leftover after the 2013 New York Comic Con has continued to dwindle and now we have very little left to sell. Numerous attempts to re-start our resin custom operation has fallen on it's face multiple times due to unforeseen errors and it's not be fun.<br />
<br /><br />
Right now, Bah'glenn Creations <strong>still</strong> wants to bring you new and fun creations of ours, but using resin casting to do so just is not in the cards anymore. We're perusing other avenues such as 3-D Printing, but even that is not definite as of this writing. I have been sewing some plushies up, so maybe I'll try that soon. The toys for us are just really very much in flux right now, unfortunately.<br />
<br /><br />
So, what does this mean for Bah'glenn Creations <em><strong>and</strong></em> you, the consumer? Well we've been diligently working behind the scenes on the completion of a Role-Playing Game, something I've been toying around with since at least 2003. It has gone through countless renovations between then and now, but it's final form is exactly what I was hoping for all those years ago.<br />
<br /><br />
This Role-Playing Game will be a physical book, <strong>not</strong> a video game (<em>at least, not yet- who knows what the future holds?</em>) and we're hoping to have out before the fall. Think August or September if things go well and there are no more hiccups (<em>plllleeease no more hiccups...</em>). I will not reveal too much about it until the book is finished and in my hands, such as the name and other misc. things, but you will be able to use any toys (<em>action figures, figurines, vinyl toys, plushies, etc.</em>) you have handy, create game stats and use them in this game. <br />
<br /><br />
We've been play testing it for quite awhile and the concept is fun, the rules are light (<em>but still engaging enough for the non-casual gamer</em>) and it does not take forever to play or learn. We do not want to follow the trend of gigantic, 300+ page textbook-like rule books that RPGs seemed to have adopted over the decades, we want it to be a sign of something new and from what we've learned from the people we've shown it to, it's something that people have very much been looking for.<br />
<br /><br />
It's coming along, slowly but surely, and I hope to have more to show you as the days/weeks go on. Maybe we'll have some teaser artwork from the game to share, keep your eyes peeled here & over on Facebook for more info, we can't wait to show it to you. ^_^Chris "Bah'glenn" Negrihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00532431568536171239noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8546238445107622780.post-39993429718914730012013-06-07T09:36:00.000-04:002013-06-07T09:36:04.225-04:009 months?!? Time for an Update!!<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Wow, I really haven't updated here in a while. </span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">It's scary to think that someone could have had a baby in the time it's taken me to post an update. That's NINE MONTHS without</span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"> so much as a peep out of this blog. Let me try to explain why:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Between now and NYCC 2012 when we had our first Ston'emm release, we've been VERY busy. Our 3 year old cat <b>Whedon</b> died very unexpectedly about 4 days before Halloween & the day before Hurricane Sandy hit us here on Long Island. So, it was just a huge disruption in everything we had planned for the Ston'emm and future releases.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Things were calmer, but still sad around our house due to our loss but we marched onwards as best we could. February we attended Toy Fair 2013 and that blizzard hit us causing further set backs. Plus, immediately after Toy Fair, we had to move out of our apartment of 3 years and scramble to find a new one. Luckily, we did and now we're all moved in with our good friend & collaborative artist <b>Dex Antares</b> in a really nice apartment. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">After that insanity was dealt with things finally started to settle down & we began work on our toy line again. We've actually launched our own website over at <a href="http://www.bahglenncreations.com/">Bahhglenncreations.com</a> and will be moving everything from this blog over to our new site. It's taking a little while as it's about 4 years worth of postings AND Google deleted all my images so now I have to rebuilt it from the ground up. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">*le sigh*.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So this should (in theory) be one of the last times I post on this blog. We've had a good run here, but we're evolving to the next step of our stories & custom figures and the new site just has so much more to offer. It's still under construction, but once it's up & running you'll be able to read bios for ALL the Ston'emm customs that were released during NYCC 2012; that's roughly 30+ character bios. We're also having a new Ston'emm release at the <a href="http://www.litoyshow.com/">3rd Annual Long Island Toy Show</a> which should include 2 new Ston'emm colorways as well as some other surprises. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Once we get closer to the show, be sure to keep checking Bahglenncreations.com for updates and new photos.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Until then, take care everybody and see you on the new website!! :-D</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>

We'll be at the Onell Design booth again this year, booth #3216, but this year we'll be there all 4 days, not just Fri-to-Sun. I'll be hanging out at the booth the majority of the con even if I'm not scheduled for selling things. It's amazing how much fun Beth & I have just going to the show & seeing everybody.<br />
<br />
Special shout-out to my wife Beth who stepped things up a notch & worked like a mad-woman to get these figures painted. She did an amazingly sick job and if you like the way the ston'emm came out, make sure to tell her as I know she'll appreciate the feedback.<br />
<br />
Also, I'd wanted to wait until i was 100% we were a-Go for this but this is especially exciting news: We will have a brand new Alien Mercenaries Fall Special #2 (#1 being released at NYCC 2010)! Now, we wanted to go BIG with the new comic, and we did.<br />
<br />
Each comic has:<br />
-Full color photos<br />
-An awesome cover drawn & colored by Jared DeCosta (Redjarojam on the OctoberToy forums)<br />
-24 pages of content including 2 different photo-comic stories, character bios & more<br />
<br />
Each book will sell for $5.00 and will be on sale with the Ston'emm & Canne'boid figures at the show.<br />
<br />
Oh and without further ado, the pics!<br />

I had a few different "toy lines" (for some reason I always drew like I was making toys- go figure), the "Reptile Fighters", the "Bug Warriors" and then a 3rd series that I have no drawings from so I barely remember it. None of those seemed to last though, as I grew bored with them. Then, everything changed.<br />
<br />
One day I rented a new game from my local Block Buster video named "Demon's Crest" for the Super Nintendo and was blown away by it. The designs, the music and the world; a whole world full of monsters instead of people. After that I started drawing all these interesting characters based off of my own world full of monsters & that line was dubbed "Monster Wars". Eventually that line's name changed into what it is now known as: "Creature World".<br />
<br />
In Monster Wars there was all sorts of different beings, people made out of mud, plant/creature hybrids, living trees (inspired more by the <i><b>Inhumanoids</b></i> <b>Redwoods </b>as I'd never even heard of <i>Lord of the Rings</i> or Ents until 2001), etc. Eventually, rock people made their way into my world by the name of an evil Ston'emm named 'Crackapart'. I believe the Ston'emm were created after my love of the <b>Granites</b> from Hasbro's <i>Inhumanoids</i> as to this day that is one of my favorite childhood cartoons & toy lines. <br />
<br />
It's funny that 1st Ston'emm we see in my stories was evil, as now their race are generally very much the opposite (although there's always a bad egg or two floating around). It wasn't until further down the road, probably towards the end of the 90's & the early 2000's that I started to flesh out the Ston'emm race & explain their existence more (I'll get into their story-based history in another blog post).<br />
<br />
I already showed you all the 1st drawing of Crackapart, but here's a variant I made of him called "Shatter Crackapart". Basically he got a furry loincloth instead of being just naked stone & now had the ability to telekineticlly control stones and form giant hands to grasp opponents.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/TheBoglin/Custom%20Stuff/The%20Stonemm/Creature%20World%20Stonemm%20Character%20Drawings/ShatterCrackapartBloodLords_zpsd8d88275.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="199" src="http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/TheBoglin/Custom%20Stuff/The%20Stonemm/Creature%20World%20Stonemm%20Character%20Drawings/ShatterCrackapartBloodLords_zpsd8d88275.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This version of <b>Crackapart</b> came out in Series 15 and it would be another 5 series before we saw some Ston'emms again. He was a heavy-hitting member of the '<i>Bringers of Bloodshed</i>' aka '<i>the Bloodlords</i>' and was a thorn in the side of the heroes of my stories off and on. For whatever reason he didn't stick around as the Creature World story progressed and this would be the last time he was ever mentioned. It's possible I killed him off, but I really don't remember. The drawing is a little better then the1st one I made, but even then it's hard to make out the face on him due to the dark colored pencils I used, I really need to re-draw him with less black & dark gray. I'd really like to introduce him into the story that's going on now with the Ston'emms, as I think an evil Ston'emm that wants to align itself with the Armovors would be a cool twist and really hit the morale of the Ston'emms to see one of the own turning on the rest of their kind.<br />
<br />
These next two debuted in Series 20. First we have another evil but very odd looking ston'emm with an almost snake/reptilian look to it. His name, is <b>Sword</b>. I know, very original:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/TheBoglin/Custom%20Stuff/The%20Stonemm/Creature%20World%20Stonemm%20Character%20Drawings/SwordBloodLords_zpsbc1e586d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/TheBoglin/Custom%20Stuff/The%20Stonemm/Creature%20World%20Stonemm%20Character%20Drawings/SwordBloodLords_zpsbc1e586d.jpg" width="273" /></a></div>
<br />
I believe this design was based off an earlier drawing that wasn't a
ston'emm but I liked the idea of merging the two together and drew this. I'd like to re-visit this character also, especially to give him an updated design & even sculpt it. I'd probably change his name to '<i>Swordstone</i>' as at least that sounds better then just 'Sword'; that's like naming a barbarian '<i>Axe</i>' or '<i>Warhammer</i>'. Keep in mind I drew this character before I even knew <b>Poke'mon</b> existed so the idea of a rock-snake creature wasn't inspired by Poke'mon's <i>Onyx</i>. Odd similarities though, especially with the little crest on the back of the head that I think Oynx also shares (<i>very eerie....O_o..</i>). Sword was an expert Crystalline Swordsman and wielded 2 of these blades with deadly accuracy. The tail he has even ends in a razor-sharp crystal blade that he used to attack a 2nd opponent in combat. <br />
<br />
Next we have the 1st Heroic Ston'emm character I created, the rocky member of the '<i>Warriors of the Woodlands</i>' (aka the <i>Woodlords</i>): Rokk! (<i>Yes I know his name is horribly generic, I was 15 & had NO concept of what Copyrightable names were</i>)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/TheBoglin/Custom%20Stuff/The%20Stonemm/Creature%20World%20Stonemm%20Character%20Drawings/RokkwithClamp-JawWoodLords_zps3344ebd3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" src="http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/TheBoglin/Custom%20Stuff/The%20Stonemm/Creature%20World%20Stonemm%20Character%20Drawings/RokkwithClamp-JawWoodLords_zps3344ebd3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Rokk may have had a different name, as I can make out in my drawing book that I'd erased a name & wrote 'Rokk' in it's place. I can make out an 'R' so maybe he was named 'Boulder' until I remembered the Rock Lord of the same name? Who knows, it's a mystery for the ages. Rokk has the ability to morph his hands into stone hammers, shoot his fists like missiles at his opponents and re-grow a new hand. With him was his pet <b>Rocklecta</b> named '<i>Clamp Jaw</i>' but also known as '<i>Lil' Grind</i>' which I feel is a much better name & less the love-child of Clamp Champ & Trap Jaw from Masters of the Universe. I had a very small amount of this gray colored pencil so that was the major reason why Rock got clothing; this is also the 1st Ston'emm I drew where you can actually see his mouth & eyes clearly again thanks to the lighter gray. In additional to his attack pet Lil' Grind he had a <b>Ra'lok</b> which are large stone creatures that the Ston'emm used as steeds and battle mounts on <b>Slauria</b>. This is Rokk's steed <i>Grinder</i>:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/TheBoglin/Custom%20Stuff/The%20Stonemm/Creature%20World%20Stonemm%20Character%20Drawings/GrindertheRa-lokWoodLords-8-28-1996_zpsc026736d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="273" src="http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/TheBoglin/Custom%20Stuff/The%20Stonemm/Creature%20World%20Stonemm%20Character%20Drawings/GrindertheRa-lokWoodLords-8-28-1996_zpsc026736d.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
A <b>Ra'lok</b> is a rock-bear type of creature, they run on all fours but can rise up on their hind legs to attack with their front legs. They have some pretty large, wicked claws on the front paws so they're very dangerous when angered. They lived primarily on Slauria so you don't find them with the space-faring Ston'emms that are fighting the Armovors. Ston'emms are able to forge weapons from stone & rocks with their hands and you can see Rokk's axe on the saddle strap for Grinder.<br />
<br />
I was actually 16 years old when I drew these last 3 drawings as on the page above Grinder a date was written down: August 28th 1996. So just a hair over 16 years ago I drew these Ston'emms. I wonder what my 16 year old self would say if I showed him the sculpted Ston'emms I created?<br />
<br />
I have a few more Ston'emm drawings from back in the 90's to show you, but I will save that for another day. ;-)<br />

Well every Ston'emm head from now onward will have a light-piped head ala the Inhumanoids Granties. Plus, the eyes/back-of-the-head are all one piece so you can swap the eyes around with another Ston'emm figure and really customize them that much more then normal. I think they all came out fantastically well & Jeremy truly out-did himself this time.</span>

Okay, after a few months of preparation, my next new figure is ready to be revealed. Now, this race was created by me as a kid back in the 1990's for my "Creature World" stories that took place on the planet Slauria. Slauria is where the Canne'boids came from although that was during the distant past in my stories. The 1st Ston'emm I introduced was as a bad guy named 'Crack Apart' who could break apart into 4 smaller versions of himself, or into a pile of rocks and basically trample people.<br />
<br />
Below is a drawing of him with another character I'd created called 'Gigantus' (yes I know, real original LoL.):<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/TheBoglin/Stonemm%20Release%20NYCC%202012/GigantasWoodLordsCrackApartBloodLords.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/TheBoglin/Stonemm%20Release%20NYCC%202012/GigantasWoodLordsCrackApartBloodLords.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Inhumanoids was & is one of my favorite toylines & cartoons from my childhood and so was Rock Lords so I think the Ston'emm were born basically from the love I have for those two properties. Plus who doesn't like cool rock guys??<br />
<br />
The <b>Ston'emm</b> (<i>pronounced: 'Stone-M'</i>) are a strong, honorable people and experts at growing and cultivating crystals. 200 years before the catastrophe that mutated Slauria & created the Canne'boids happened, about 95% of the Ston'emm population left to colonize other worlds and they were not there when the Sporr'zah Invasion took place. Since that time, the ston'emm went into seclusion from the outside world and stayed to themselves on their new homeworld of "<b>Quar'taa</b>". No one has seen a Ston'emm in three centuries and the general belief of the galactic populace (<i>aside from the people left on Slauria</i>) is that they are mythical beings that never really existed.<br />
<br />
Then the Armovors invaded Glyos via the Zorennor Gate and began their war. During this time the Ston'emm remained absent from the conflict. One day, a ston'emm by the name <b>Sta'lagg of Granite </b>witnessed the Armovors brutality first hand and returned to his people to explain to them of what he had seen. He stressed to them that the peaceful races of the universe and also their true home-world of Slauria are were in danger if this threat was not kept in check. Now was not the time for silence and hiding, now was the time for action.<br />
<br />
<b>Em'ralld of Feldspar</b>, the head member of the <i>Council of Stonez</i> agreed with Sta'lagg and informed every able-bodied ston'emm to forge weapons and vehicles of war and prepare for battle. Even though they were not overly involved in the affairs of the Galactic Council, the Government on Pru'tarr or Glyaxia Command, to sit idly by and do nothing was not the honorable thing to do.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<b>the Ston'emm</b>:<br />
"<i>Ston'emms are masters of crystal cultivation & design. Their Pow'rr crystals are used to fuel their great stone-ships, vehicles and weapons and their Grav'etee crystals enable them to pilot their Aster-Crafts in planets with an atmosphere. A single Ston'emm warrior is as strong as roughly 5 Glyans, has a body composed of ni-impervious rock and are masters of melee combat. When injured in battle, a ston'emm can absorb local rocks and minerals to re-build it's body and repair any damage taken during the fight. Certain ston'emms can use this ability to bulk themselves up and increase in size.</i>"<br />

<br />
Now, for the release info on how to get the figures:<br />
<br />
Each figure has six hand-cast parts cast by <b>Jeremy Sung</b> of <b>Spy Monkey Creations</b> who has been instrumental in getting the ston'emm off the ground (<i>you rock Jeremy, no pun intended LOL!</i>). Each figure uses parts from 1 Hub set, have drilled-out hands to hold accessories & have a cloth belt. In addition, each Ston'emm will have some paint applications (<i>eyes & teeth most notably</i>) but for the most part will be cast in a unique colorway. Since Jeremy & I are both such huge Rock Lords fans, he had the thought to swirl colors together just like the Rock Lords did & I loved the idea. These are just a few of the Ston'emm I assembled so far, and there should be more on the way.<br />
<br />
These will be going on sale first at New York Comic Con 2012 and then they will be available online after the show, probably a couple of weeks after the October Glyos release so people have time to regenerate their wallets. I haven't nailed the price for them just yet but I'll post it here once I figure it out. I still have to sand-down the rough edges on the parts & paint them so when I have more finished pictures to show you I will post them here. :thumbup:<br />

Sold a lot of my old toys, got to hang out with Doctor Kent, my wife Beth & my best friend/packaging designer Andrew Fuschetti. I didn't buy as much as I typically do, but I think that was mostly due to me being at my table 95% of the time. When I did get a chance to zip around the floor I snagged these items:<br /><br />Masters of the Universe Classics Hurricane Hordak MOC<br />Masters of the Universe Modulok Blaster (Front Half)<br />MotU Meteorbs: Astro Lion<br />MotU Meteorbs: Crocobite<br />LJN Shirt Tales: Rick<br />Battle Beasts Anteater<br />Weird Old Rubber Bird/Vulture/Thing<br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j3T7UpAI9Yc/UAM23k0nW-I/AAAAAAAAADg/bgxtYyhHkWA/s1600/DSC00255.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j3T7UpAI9Yc/UAM23k0nW-I/AAAAAAAAADg/bgxtYyhHkWA/s320/DSC00255.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5765512276369431522" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Snagging MotUC Hurricane Hordak MOC for $25 was a steal, I'd missed out on him when he went up for sale on Mattycollector.com so grabbing him for 3 bucks more then cost was great. Finally finding my vintage Modulok's 1st half of his blaster was exciting also as I'd been looking for it for a while. I lost the front half when I was a kid so now after about 20+ years I finally got both halves of his blaster. Now I just have to dig out Modulok....<br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-knBWihDf-u0/UAM23cnJkpI/AAAAAAAAADU/jzzX00Oi0ks/s1600/DSC00259.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-knBWihDf-u0/UAM23cnJkpI/AAAAAAAAADU/jzzX00Oi0ks/s320/DSC00259.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5765512274165469842" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>Now, as I'm a later-era MotU fan (I got into the toys in the 1985 era, not when they first came out in 1982) the Meteorbs were always part of my MotU toy battles as a child. I only hadTuskor (Heroic Mammoth) & Orbear (Evil Grizzly Bear) when I was growing up & it wasn't until sometime in the late 1990's-early 2000's that I managed to find a MOC Meteorb on eBay;Cometroid. I'd been wanting to get Crocobite as I both love his colorway and crocodiles/alligators. He was $20.00 and was in like-new condition so it was a worthy purchase.Astro Lion I got from a different vendor at the show for $8.00 but his rear legs are a little loose so he doesn't stand perfectly (probably why he was only 8 bucks).<br /><br /><br /><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8dD07ACTKmw/UAM4_YKxgjI/AAAAAAAAADs/LRq8Q_ILKlw/s320/DSC00254.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5765514609434919474" style="float: left; margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px; " /><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><br /><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>When I was a very young child, 'The Shirt Tales' was one of my favorite cartoons. I had Digger & Bogey figurines for years and then last year at the 1st Annual LI Toy Show I found Tyg, and then this year I found Rick. Now I just need Pammy & I'll have the whole team. He was $3.00 so not bad at all. The Anteater Battle Beast cost me $8.00 and his rub sign & weapon are intact.<br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oEakW6GwdVI/UAM23FRSq-I/AAAAAAAAADI/PMIB2MgvzSY/s1600/DSC00256.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oEakW6GwdVI/UAM23FRSq-I/AAAAAAAAADI/PMIB2MgvzSY/s320/DSC00256.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5765512267899775970" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yCSPV41nHG8/UAM222YyXoI/AAAAAAAAAC8/7cSkQk5Lhfc/s1600/DSC00257.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yCSPV41nHG8/UAM222YyXoI/AAAAAAAAAC8/7cSkQk5Lhfc/s320/DSC00257.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5765512263904681602" /></a><br /><br /><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><span style=" ;font-size:100%;">This bird thing was 50 cents, and totally worth it. I love these old early 80's toys where the sculptor really took alot of creative liberty on sculpting things. I've never seen a bird look like this, but this thing is just such a random odd-ball thing that I had to have it. As a sculptor, it's interesting to me how the designs of things differed so much over the years. Now a days, everything seems too "perfect" in terms of design, and this bird thing is a reminder of a time where toys didn't have to look perfect, just appealing enough to the eye to be cool for the customer to want to buy it. It was supposed to have a elastic cord to hang it from the ceiling, but that long since snapped off. All and all this thing is awesome & I wish I'd found more cool things like this at the show. Needless to say, since then he's become hooked on Glyos just like the rest of us are and has a decent little stock-pile of figures.<br /><br />I was so surprised about receiving the drawing that I promised to show it here on the blog for all the other Glyos fans to see. Check it out below:<br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CCFf4Uf3sCw/T7aSWy6HeyI/AAAAAAAAABc/OgJTao2wvQU/s1600/Glyos%2BDrawing%2Bby%2BMatt%2BGallo%2BApril%2B2012.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 223px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CCFf4Uf3sCw/T7aSWy6HeyI/AAAAAAAAABc/OgJTao2wvQU/s320/Glyos%2BDrawing%2Bby%2BMatt%2BGallo%2BApril%2B2012.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5743939295077956386" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CCFf4Uf3sCw/T7aSWy6HeyI/AAAAAAAAABc/OgJTao2wvQU/s1600/Glyos%2BDrawing%2Bby%2BMatt%2BGallo%2BApril%2B2012.jpg"></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Last time I spoke with Craig, he told me his son had 2 more drawings for me so I'll be sure to post those up here as soon as I get them.<br /><br />As for news about the Canne'myte, we're still in the process of getting things cast up so when they're ready to be released I will post information up here on the blog. Also, <span style="font-weight: bold;">Sunday July 8th 2012</span> is the <span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">2nd Annual Long Island Toy Show</span> and I will be there selling some of my toy collection & also enjoying the show. If you'll be in the area stop by and visit. This makes it the 1st custom of mine to appear 100% original! I'm happy with how it came out, the 1st release should be brown fur with Kobra Khan/Monster Minds brain Green parts. Eye & teeth color are still up in the air, but I'm thinking yellow eyes with maybe black or white teeth (nothing set in stone yet).<br /><div class="content"><br /><img title="Click Here To See Image Full Size " style="width: 600px; cursor: pointer;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/TheChrismeister/Canneboid%20Figure/DSC00099.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><img title="Click Here To See Image Full Size " style="width: 600px; cursor: pointer;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/TheChrismeister/Canneboid%20Figure/DSC00100.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/TheChrismeister/Canneboid%20Figure/DSC00101.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/TheChrismeister/Canneboid%20Figure/DSC00098.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">Test shot with original concept Canne'mytes v1 (far left) and v2 (center)</span><br /><img title="Click Here To See Image Full Size " style="width: 600px; cursor: pointer;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/TheChrismeister/Canneboid%20Figure/DSC00092-1.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><span style=" line-height: 116%;font-size:130%;" ><span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-weight: bold"><span>Size Comparisons</span></span></span></span><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">with Gearius Pheyden</span><br /><img title="Click Here To See Image Full Size " style="width: 600px; cursor: pointer;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/TheChrismeister/Canneboid%20Figure/DSC00094.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">with a Crayboth<br /></span><img title="Click Here To See Image Full Size " style="width: 600px; cursor: pointer;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/TheChrismeister/Canneboid%20Figure/DSC00095.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">with OMFG King Castor</span><br /><img title="Click Here To See Image Full Size " style="width: 600px; cursor: pointer;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/TheChrismeister/Canneboid%20Figure/DSC00096.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold">with NYCC Halloween Exclusive Canne'boid</span><br /><img title="Click Here To See Image Full Size " style="width: 600px; cursor: pointer;" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/TheChrismeister/Canneboid%20Figure/DSC00097.jpg" alt="Image" /><br /><br />So far the price of these as full figures is about $20 a piece. Depending on how much demand there is, I might limit it to two (2) per person. There probably won't be any boxes for the Canne'mytes so I have to design header cards and bio cards to insert inside their baggies. Nothing finalized yet, just mostly discussion at this point.<br /><br />After this initial release we might try for a DIY version that'll be cheaper and unpainted so people can build stuff with their own Gobon balls.<br /><br />Let me know what you guys think and feel free to post comments & ask any questions.<br /><br />-Bah'glenn</div>Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8546238445107622780.post-60113430214443314032012-03-22T00:41:00.008-04:002012-03-22T09:17:42.821-04:00Rubik's Snake + a Glyanaut = ???After watching everything unfold over on the Glyos blog with the new "Tri Hub Wedge" vinyl set coming out on Friday, I finally lost it and made a white/blue Glyanaut to hang out inside my Rubik's Snake. So the customize-ability of these wedges is limited only by your imagination. I'd sat on the idea for a very long time until Matt Doughty mentioned to me about the Outer Space Man custom art show that is happening in February at Toy Tokyo. So, having an idea of what to make already, I set to work. I added a custom cardback & bio card to complete the custom and give it a little more character.<br /><br />For those of you attending the art show, be sure to come say hello. :-DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8546238445107622780.post-1282448793842547332012-02-05T17:30:00.001-05:002012-02-07T01:58:56.043-05:00Spy Monkey Creations Armory Packs = Shnoopin' Awesome<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SGUCpK1Mt0E/TypOHaFMfsI/AAAAAAAACrc/omxLT8tTpa0/s1600/N%2527ykk%2Bv4%2B%2528Front%2529.JPG"><img style="width: 300px; Their dark allure of power proving too tempting not to use, <span style="font-weight: bold;">N'ykk's</span> dark side was brought out in full causing him to shed his <span style="font-weight: bold;">Glyaxia Command</span> allegiances. His former Neo-Sincroid Commander, <span style="font-weight: bold;">Kik'bek</span>, joined the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Secticore Tracker Unit</span> to try and see if it's too late to un-corrupt him. The longer N'ykk uses the Venom weapons, the more his body assimilates into itself, so it is unknown if he can be saved, or even if he </span><span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">wants</span><span style="font-style: italic;"> to be...</span>"<br /><br />I'm having a blast building with these things, I've already upgraded N'ykk like 3 times since I posted the new banner for the blog, and Canne'borg might be due for an upgrade too depending on what parts N'ykk is willing to spare. I can't make N'ykk any larger though, if I do he won't be able to fit in my pocket anymore. O_o I like the male/male zig-zag piece in this set as it is very useful in creating the illusion of N'ykk holding the axe when in reality it's attached to his wrist. His mechanical hand was made from 3 parts that can combine to form a robotic pelvis of sorts and it's also another great addition to this pack.<br /><br />These things are the perfect addition to any Glyos builder, and I know $20 may sound expensive but you get a TON of parts to build with for that price, at least 42 I think. I'll have to order another set or two in different colors maybe for when (or IF....) N'ykk turns from the "dark side" but still wants to use Armory technology, not sure what color though, maybe the gun metal sets.<br /><br />Thanks again to Jeremy from Spy Monkey Creations for the advance sets, I hope you guys did great in sales yesterday & can't wait to see what else you guys have coming down the pipe. We may need mechanical snake parts next, I'd love to build a articulated glyos snake or something similiar- plus if you combine a snake body with the hilt parts from the sword you could make some wicked Dr Octopus-like tentacles. Last year I had banner photos for September, October, December, January, but nothing for Novemeber, February or March. Looking at last year's January banner (which has doubled as <span style="font-weight: bold;">this</span> years January banner...) I was amazed at how much snow we had then VS this year when there's been relatively little.<br /><br />For February I wanted to do a new photo banner but couldn't find any Valentine's Day themes I'd like so I went with another theme: Spy Monkey Creations Armory sets! In the above photo we have my own canne'boid "<span style="font-weight: bold;">N'ykk</span>" (named as such due to him loosing his right hand while in battle at New York Comic Con last October) locked in deadly combat with Canne'borg, latest creation of the mad scientist canne'boid <span style="font-weight: bold;">Baron Ivan Von Boidochevski</span>. Also in the shot is<span style="font-weight: bold;"></span> the good Baron's first successful canne'stein and loyal patch-work assistant, <span style="font-weight: bold;">Nikoliar Voktor</span>.<br /><br />Baron Boidochevski was the only surviving member of his pack after a bomb was accidentily detonated nearby. The bomb's radiation rapidly increased his intellectual capabilities to mad scientist levels, as well as allowing his body to emit low levels of radiation (i.e. he glows in the dark). Seeing as his pack was blown to bits he used his new-found genius to re-assemble them piece by piece....just not in the correct order.<br /><br />Nikoliar's body may be put back together, but his mind is a little sketchy; he's a compulsive liar and it's virtually impossible for him to tell the truth much to the Baron's annoyance. Building him was alot of fun, and if you look you can see how he's been cobbled together from canne'boids of different sizes as well as colors; he has about 20 stitches in his head that I baked in the oven like tiny clay staples & then pushed them into his head one by one. Tedious yes, but very rewarding.<br /><br />Canne'borg used to be the canne'boid known as <span style="font-weight: bold;">Crunchmouth</span> before being blown away by the ruthless armored canne'boid <span style="font-weight: bold;">Gutshot</span>. Baron Boidochevski proceeded to step 2 of his plan and utilized bionic implants to re-animate Crunchmouth, who now serves him as a loyal robot.<br /><br />The names for the baron & his assistant were thought up with my good friend <span style="font-weight: bold;">Nate Levy</span> of the Average Intelligence podcast. We were texting back & forth about the custom glow in the dark canne'boid (who later became the baron) I'd just made for him. He commented on how it looks like a mad scientist and the what followed was a LOT of awesomeness. As he inspired the concept of a Frankenstein canne'boid and as the baron will need an assistant, the two 'boids will be leaving for Nate's glyos shelf within the week.<br /><br />Thanks again buddy, it was a awesome time to make these. Now,what's next? ;-)<br /><br />Stay tuned for some pictures of Spy Monkey weapon builds, probably within today give or take an hour or so.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8546238445107622780.post-7116996832648200602012-01-11T16:35:00.012-05:002012-01-12T03:57:31.583-05:00Iyce'lasher, the taskmaster & 1st mate aboard the Dragon's Maw!This was another character I created back in the 90's as a teenager for my 'Creature World' series of stories & artwork. Back then, he was just a green monster who found a pair of rare magical ice-themed artifacts. With a crack of his whip he could freeze enemies in their paths. He was a bad guy back then, and in all honesty his character had almost ZERO development put into it. I can't even remember WHY I created him or for what reason ice & whips seemed like a good pairing for a magical weapon. Plus, if the whip itself emits ice..why does he have a stone of the same color on his chest?? These are the questions I ask myself as I go through my old drawing books & try to figure out just what the hell my teenage brain was thinking.<br /><br />Below is the original Creature World drawing of the character. He's from a time before my drawing style got a bit more polished so there's not alot of depth in here aside from a large green monster with an ice whip.<br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6EEjeQtlz8U/Tw4BSgaK0JI/AAAAAAAACoM/lktYxo8JfuE/s1600/Ice-Lasher%2B%2528Blood%2BLords%2529.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6EEjeQtlz8U/Tw4BSgaK0JI/AAAAAAAACoM/lktYxo8JfuE/s400/Ice-Lasher%2B%2528Blood%2BLords%2529.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696491996119224466" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Next I sat down & did a quickie concept study sketch of what this character would look like as a canne'boid. I gave him a cross-bite where his top & bottom jaws over lap one another and a little goatee because, well his face didn't have much else going on. The more difficult part of this figure was going to be the frost whip; I had no clue how to sculpt a whip with those teeny-tiny little ends on them. I put him on the back-burner for a few weeks to mull over how to do this and finish some of the earlier canne'pirates instead.<br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l-DnsMMGg98/Tw6UVz0lJdI/AAAAAAAACpc/BGhR6N8XdW0/s1600/Canne%2527stein%2BConcept%2BSketches-%2BIyce%2527lasher.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 226px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l-DnsMMGg98/Tw6UVz0lJdI/AAAAAAAACpc/BGhR6N8XdW0/s400/Canne%2527stein%2BConcept%2BSketches-%2BIyce%2527lasher.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696653681079166418" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Eventually, this Tuesday to be precise, I sat down & began sculpting the figure. Having already assembled the build a few days prior, that would have made the entire process fast & easy....how wrong I was. Due to the softer nature of the mixed color green I made, I spent the better part of 2 hours trying to get his head sculpt just right. It took a few dozen tries but I eventually got it to a level I'd be happy with. Check him out:<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Iyce'lasher</span> "<span style="font-style: italic;">Taskmaster & 1st Mate to Captain Jahroh</span>"<br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5T4VH00hQNw/Tw6YiyQ1LlI/AAAAAAAACp8/Tk2e1vwqc74/s1600/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Close-Up%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5T4VH00hQNw/Tw6YiyQ1LlI/AAAAAAAACp8/Tk2e1vwqc74/s400/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Close-Up%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696658302045597266" border="0" /></a><br /><br />"<span style="font-style: italic;">There be quite a bit o' work in runnin' a ship smoothly, and even though I be a tough and fearlful captain...sometimes I need assistance gettin' the crew in line. This is where Iyce'lasher comes in. This 'boid has a vicious bite and is quick with his whip for anyone not followin' orders. Most o' the crew doesn't give him trouble, as they know as dangerous he is- I'm worse. I rely on him to keep <span style="font-weight: bold;">Shark-Hook</span> in check when he enters a feedin' frenzy as he can eat the whole crew if not taken down quickly. For some reason, he and me ship's cook don't see eye-ta-eye and constantly get into disputes over some such nonsense, I can't be bothered to figure out why.<br />"A number o' years ago, we stumbled upon a tribe of <span style="font-weight: bold;">Frrr'ohst</span> and did battle with them ta steal their riches. Iyce'lasher found nothin' of too much value but took the heart of one of the ice people as a trophy. When wearing it around his neck he be shocked ta see it enables him to emit freezing cold temperatures and aiming werever he be choosin'. Later he embedded it in his forehead, and doin' this allowed him to channel freezing temperatures through his whip and freeze anything it touched. </span><span style="font-style: italic;">In battle he be one o' me best fighters and the Glyans run for the hills when his frost whip rains frozen death down upon them.</span>"- Excerpt from Captain Spakk Jahroh's Log Book<br /><br />As a nod to the original drawing, he was originally going to have a pair of green gloves for hands...but I really wasn't happy with how they looked so I gave him one regular hand and his whipping hand is wearing a torn, finger-less glove. Instead of giving him twin boots, I had his toes "burst" through one of his boots- this was something I saw with old TMNT figures alot & I always liked that look on characters. The more I sculpted him, the more he came across as that crusty/tough type of character who can put anybody in their place easily. I think my subconscious mind might have been channeling the orc captain from the Rankin/Bass "Return of the King" animated movie ("<span style="font-style: italic;">where there's a whip there's a way!</span>"), just the face reminds me of them a bit. Below are more pictures to look over.<br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ih3sU-Xvsa8/Tw6YicdqARI/AAAAAAAACpw/f3FVNH23rxA/s1600/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Angled%2BClose-Up%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ih3sU-Xvsa8/Tw6YicdqARI/AAAAAAAACpw/f3FVNH23rxA/s400/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Angled%2BClose-Up%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696658296193810706" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZtUlPkD1KPs/Tw4BRoyUdbI/AAAAAAAACn0/9IQsPLPd6XM/s1600/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Front%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZtUlPkD1KPs/Tw4BRoyUdbI/AAAAAAAACn0/9IQsPLPd6XM/s400/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Front%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696491981188134322" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-y-PuLiiC4uE/Tw6UFviuWjI/AAAAAAAACo8/GYBy8q2fk3E/s1600/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Angled%2BFront%2BView%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-y-PuLiiC4uE/Tw6UFviuWjI/AAAAAAAACo8/GYBy8q2fk3E/s400/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Angled%2BFront%2BView%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696653405052623410" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-D1Wk5ZbSEXk/Tw6UFdwGbmI/AAAAAAAACos/6sMlmI88NRE/s1600/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Right%2BSide%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-D1Wk5ZbSEXk/Tw6UFdwGbmI/AAAAAAAACos/6sMlmI88NRE/s400/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Right%2BSide%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696653400276889186" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-86hgCIBbOS8/Tw6UEwZiZmI/AAAAAAAACok/geFZ9Hyhj7o/s1600/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Back%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-86hgCIBbOS8/Tw6UEwZiZmI/AAAAAAAACok/geFZ9Hyhj7o/s400/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Back%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696653388102657634" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rmMEOGo4Buo/Tw6UEysYQAI/AAAAAAAACoY/jRUX-jdmeOM/s1600/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Left%2BSide%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rmMEOGo4Buo/Tw6UEysYQAI/AAAAAAAACoY/jRUX-jdmeOM/s400/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Left%2BSide%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696653388718555138" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3DuEOwCS9_I/Tw6YiI7aDgI/AAAAAAAACpk/9rN1HmxYQdg/s1600/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Close-Up%2Bof%2BGloved%2BHand%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3DuEOwCS9_I/Tw6YiI7aDgI/AAAAAAAACpk/9rN1HmxYQdg/s400/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Close-Up%2Bof%2BGloved%2BHand%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696658290949885442" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-knB-2kXUODM/Tw6YjiDf2QI/AAAAAAAACqY/bS3BT5O25n4/s1600/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Close-Up%2Bof%2BWhole%2BBoot%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-knB-2kXUODM/Tw6YjiDf2QI/AAAAAAAACqY/bS3BT5O25n4/s400/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Close-Up%2Bof%2BWhole%2BBoot%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696658314874575106" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9ubbTOpo35Q/Tw6YjTxtqUI/AAAAAAAACqI/U3U7KUkIMn0/s1600/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Close-Up%2Bof%2BRipped%2BBoot%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9ubbTOpo35Q/Tw6YjTxtqUI/AAAAAAAACqI/U3U7KUkIMn0/s400/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Close-Up%2Bof%2BRipped%2BBoot%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696658311041886530" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZtUlPkD1KPs/Tw4BRoyUdbI/AAAAAAAACn0/9IQsPLPd6XM/s1600/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Front%2529.JPG"></a><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8k9DeDvTtRo/Tw6cYjxb1XI/AAAAAAAACqg/LWCdLl37xF8/s1600/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Posed%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8k9DeDvTtRo/Tw6cYjxb1XI/AAAAAAAACqg/LWCdLl37xF8/s400/Iyce%2527lasher%2B%2528Posed%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5696662524403635570" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I have another canne'pirate ready to make his debut, but I just need to alter his build colors a little bit before his un-veiling. He was the last of the 5 that I re-designed back in November so he was a long time coming but I think he came out awesome.<br /><br />Here's a drawing I did in the 90's of the original character back when he was named "Treasure Keep". Basically, the concept was making one of the pirates into a living treasure chest as who would be better to keep the captain's treasure safe then a tough-as-nails monster who stores the loot inside his body? I gave him eyes on stalks so he could always tell if someone was trying to sneak up on him.<br /><br />Original Character drawing<br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rioGaRZshfc/TwW3WXKYzLI/AAAAAAAACjs/DDW-QwVeVB0/s1600/Treasure%2BKeep%2B%2528Captain%2BAn-Grrr%2527s%2BCrew%2529%2B%255BSeries%2B28%255D.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 232px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rioGaRZshfc/TwW3WXKYzLI/AAAAAAAACjs/DDW-QwVeVB0/s400/Treasure%2BKeep%2B%2528Captain%2BAn-Grrr%2527s%2BCrew%2529%2B%255BSeries%2B28%255D.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694158898682449074" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Re-designed Canne'boid Sketch:<br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qcTHTE3SNmE/TwW6khCrtYI/AAAAAAAACj8/vbxwSbrSYXM/s1600/Canne%2527pirate%2BSketches%2B%2528One-Eye%252C%2BLokk%2527up%2Band%2BKeel%2527ovr%2529.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 374px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qcTHTE3SNmE/TwW6khCrtYI/AAAAAAAACj8/vbxwSbrSYXM/s400/Canne%2527pirate%2BSketches%2B%2528One-Eye%252C%2BLokk%2527up%2Band%2BKeel%2527ovr%2529.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694162440387540354" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Basically, the re-designed character has the same job but now it's more direct. I gave him wood textured skin and gold teeth & claws (again a throw back to him being a living treasure chest) and decided on a dark brown sculpey to further give that wooden look. The character IS actually part wood as he ate a tree person and mutated the characteristics of wood, so trying to sneak up behind him & bash him on the head wouldn't be a good idea.<br /><br />His job aboard the Dragon's Maw is to guard the treasure that he keeps inside him via a sub-dimensional pocket. Typically, it happens like this: when the canne'pirates board a ship, Lokk'up heads off on his own to find the treasure & literally smashes through anyone and anything in his path to get to it. Once there, he gobbles it up & then makes his way back to the ship. Whatever he ate & chose to not digest, gets shunted into that sub-dimensional pocket and he can regurgitate it later.<br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-469JSn2CUZE/TwW9Ja3o7SI/AAAAAAAACk4/0O3hPapcaHA/s1600/DSC-%2BLokk%2527up%2B%2528Front%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-469JSn2CUZE/TwW9Ja3o7SI/AAAAAAAACk4/0O3hPapcaHA/s400/DSC-%2BLokk%2527up%2B%2528Front%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694165273409023266" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Qqm3DQWtLq0/TwW9JI03-rI/AAAAAAAACkk/I_hAMdet8as/s1600/DSC00039.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Qqm3DQWtLq0/TwW9JI03-rI/AAAAAAAACkk/I_hAMdet8as/s400/DSC00039.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694165268565588658" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HR-N9RyZN04/TwW9I_57bqI/AAAAAAAACkc/lmXDwp75mK8/s1600/DSC00024.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HR-N9RyZN04/TwW9I_57bqI/AAAAAAAACkc/lmXDwp75mK8/s400/DSC00024.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694165266170867362" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GdVRn9sIjQU/TwW9IuPKaAI/AAAAAAAACkU/mZSYPKEZNTA/s1600/DSC00040.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GdVRn9sIjQU/TwW9IuPKaAI/AAAAAAAACkU/mZSYPKEZNTA/s400/DSC00040.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694165261428090882" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qB8ZvEjdJao/TwW9IbZf1kI/AAAAAAAACkE/tL5tV9MEncY/s1600/DSC00038.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qB8ZvEjdJao/TwW9IbZf1kI/AAAAAAAACkE/tL5tV9MEncY/s400/DSC00038.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694165256371164738" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7u--Ai8jB1k/TwW943zP2lI/AAAAAAAAClw/PKxqO_nQ_kI/s1600/DSC00027.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7u--Ai8jB1k/TwW943zP2lI/AAAAAAAAClw/PKxqO_nQ_kI/s400/DSC00027.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694166088629082706" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7wFwyYT1R98/TwW94UEOqII/AAAAAAAAClo/bl9VIdSlMSI/s1600/DSC00057.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7wFwyYT1R98/TwW94UEOqII/AAAAAAAAClo/bl9VIdSlMSI/s400/DSC00057.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694166079036631170" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wLgZ1f4Cl_A/TwW94G-QJSI/AAAAAAAAClY/Xg9gw_E7mO8/s1600/DSC00047.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wLgZ1f4Cl_A/TwW94G-QJSI/AAAAAAAAClY/Xg9gw_E7mO8/s400/DSC00047.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694166075521901858" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QEk5xO5D1BY/TwW938_v7kI/AAAAAAAAClI/7ReeiQgH4WI/s1600/DSC00046.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QEk5xO5D1BY/TwW938_v7kI/AAAAAAAAClI/7ReeiQgH4WI/s400/DSC00046.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694166072843824706" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Dcl6oDMWJwM/TwW93j6i_nI/AAAAAAAAClA/_2Ss6N8qJyU/s1600/DSC00044.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Dcl6oDMWJwM/TwW93j6i_nI/AAAAAAAAClA/_2Ss6N8qJyU/s400/DSC00044.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694166066111118962" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Since making those sketches back in November, I've draw sketches for another Creature World character-to-Canne'pirate in addition to 4 more canne'pirates, so Capt. Jahroh's crew is getting big REAL fast. One of the new ones has a head & fur, I just need to give him hands and feet, maybe tomorrow he'll be done- you'll just have to wait & see. ~_^Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8546238445107622780.post-81116347474051916542011-12-28T09:32:00.008-05:002012-01-07T02:08:26.103-05:00Next Canne'pirate: Rig'n!This crew member is the mechanic & weapon maker for the Dragon's Maw. His original Creature World counter-part, 'Rigen', would swing from the rigging in the ship's sails (hence the name) and use his powerful pincer legs to catch & crush anyone who boarded the ship.<br /><br />Here's an original drawing of that character:<br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hxzLaQXVubQ/TvspNgUmUuI/AAAAAAAACiI/TWJksI_95mU/s1600/Rigen%2B%2528Captain%2BAn-Grrr%2527s%2BCrew%2529%2B%255BSeries%2B26%255D.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 306px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hxzLaQXVubQ/TvspNgUmUuI/AAAAAAAACiI/TWJksI_95mU/s400/Rigen%2B%2528Captain%2BAn-Grrr%2527s%2BCrew%2529%2B%255BSeries%2B26%255D.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5691187866104124130" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I was going to give the canne'pirate the same pincer legs, but since the Dragon's Maw is a space pirate ship without any sails or rigging, I decided to alter his job on the ship. So instead of pincers he gets a second smaller pair of arms with hands so he can work on things while using his larger more powerful arms to swing around the inside of the ship. I had to give him some sort of pirate-themed accessory so I gave him a long striped cap to wear. I might turn it into a bandanna or doo-rag, but for now this works & brings some contrast to all the browns & tans on him.<br /><br />Here's the sketch I did of him (bottom half of the page). The head sculpt I ended up doing came out differently then the sketch, almost simian or gorilla looking. Actually I think it works with the whole swinging around thing so it's not a bad change at all.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Sketch</span><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K4RycOGE-ks/TwfvT8vd2JI/AAAAAAAACl8/uh4afaqALl4/s1600/Canne%2527pirate%2BSketches%2B%2528Shark-Hook%2B%2526%2BRig%2527n%2529.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 270px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K4RycOGE-ks/TwfvT8vd2JI/AAAAAAAACl8/uh4afaqALl4/s400/Canne%2527pirate%2BSketches%2B%2528Shark-Hook%2B%2526%2BRig%2527n%2529.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5694783379835050130" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Final Sculpted version</span><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KnBfw_WBvVE/TvspNn0kabI/AAAAAAAACiQ/Jdx8zK_l4GQ/s1600/Rig%2527n%2B%2528Front%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KnBfw_WBvVE/TvspNn0kabI/AAAAAAAACiQ/Jdx8zK_l4GQ/s400/Rig%2527n%2B%2528Front%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5691187868117264818" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GzRVwRX0NVc/TvspOY__SaI/AAAAAAAACis/R7yicUeMUZQ/s1600/Rig%2527n%2B%2528Left%2BSide%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GzRVwRX0NVc/TvspOY__SaI/AAAAAAAACis/R7yicUeMUZQ/s400/Rig%2527n%2B%2528Left%2BSide%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5691187881318500770" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uUvDYWdGxxM/TvspN5MJfcI/AAAAAAAACig/XdBqD8bCic8/s1600/Rig%2527n%2B%2528Angled%2BFront%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uUvDYWdGxxM/TvspN5MJfcI/AAAAAAAACig/XdBqD8bCic8/s400/Rig%2527n%2B%2528Angled%2BFront%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5691187872779566530" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hxzLaQXVubQ/TvspNgUmUuI/AAAAAAAACiI/TWJksI_95mU/s1600/Rigen%2B%2528Captain%2BAn-Grrr%2527s%2BCrew%2529%2B%255BSeries%2B26%255D.jpg"></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tc1silBwHSQ/TvspOuiRgeI/AAAAAAAACi0/q867bo3tbpk/s1600/Rig%2527n%2B%2528Posed%2529.JPG"><span style="display: block;" id="formatbar_Buttons"><span onmouseover="ButtonHoverOn(this);" onmouseout="ButtonHoverOff(this);" onmouseup="" onmousedown="CheckFormatting(event);FormatbarButton('richeditorframe', this, 8);ButtonMouseDown(this);" class=" on down" style="display: block;" id="formatbar_CreateLink" title="Link"><img src="http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif" alt="Link" class="gl_link" border="0" /></span></span><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tc1silBwHSQ/TvspOuiRgeI/AAAAAAAACi0/q867bo3tbpk/s400/Rig%2527n%2B%2528Posed%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5691187887099445730" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1FazLrDNwHQ/Tvsu7GVRPiI/AAAAAAAACjU/fYSjN-NosjQ/s1600/Rig%2527n%2B%2528Showing%2Blarge%2Bhands%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1FazLrDNwHQ/Tvsu7GVRPiI/AAAAAAAACjU/fYSjN-NosjQ/s400/Rig%2527n%2B%2528Showing%2Blarge%2Bhands%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5691194146959736354" border="0" /></a><br />(Showing the hands on his leg-arms)<br /><br />There are still more canne'pirates to be made, I still have to make Lock'up the ship's living treasure chest & Ice'lasher the ship's interrogator & task-master. While there, Matt did a lot of amazing drawings of some of my creations including a veeery old one from back in the mid-to-late 1990's.<br /></div><br /><strong></strong>The character started out as just a brain in a jar who traveled with Sun'slyr (the prince of the Phosperonns) to Slauria to explore the world after it had been quarantined for two centuries. While there it was their job to retrieve the Gauntlet of Destruction and the Gauntlet of Protection that had been taken there by a criminal overlord known as Yarr'kon. Once there, Sun'slyr & Cereblor followed the path of destruction left by Gauntletz and the Bringers of Bloodshed (aka the 'Blood Lords'). Cereblor then used his cybernetics knowledge to re-animate the bodies of warriors killed by Gauntletz and add their ranks to their new team, the Sun Strikers.<br /><br />Here's a drawing I did years ago based on artwork my friend made back then. It's the Sun Strikers main means of transportation while on Slauria & is currently being manned by 4 Sun Strikers & Cereblor.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sXK7DI6qWzo/Tvo1hcyHvfI/AAAAAAAACh8/qLT5bCc80no/s1600/Vehicle-%2BSun%2BStrikers%2BScavenger%2BShip.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sXK7DI6qWzo/Tvo1hcyHvfI/AAAAAAAACh8/qLT5bCc80no/s400/Vehicle-%2BSun%2BStrikers%2BScavenger%2BShip.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5690919927914413554" border="0" /></a><br />(Top of Ship: Sleet<br />Inside Ship: Cyberslug, Stickle-Back & Cereblor<br />Underneath Ship: Tread)<br /><br />Since then the Cereblor character has transformed into something more deep. With the help of my friend Doctor Kent, who provided a good chunk of the new Cereblor's backstory, we created a character who spanned decades of story and is almost responsible for the majority of crap happening in my universe.<br /><br />For those of you who followed Alien Mercenaries, Cereblor is mentioned in it several times and is known there as Ce'Brorr, his name before become making his exo-suit and becoming a Bionic Living Organism (aka his name CereB.L.Or.). Actually, if you look at the computer monitor in episode #22 of the 1st season of Alien Mercenaries (the <a href="http://www.alienmercsarchive.blogspot.com/2010/10/season-1-episode-22-answering-question.html">1st panel</a> of that episode) you'll see the computer system recognizing Greh'eck as the user "Ce'Brorr". In the 1st episode of season 2, Gr'owwlge mentions to Greh'eck how he was taken away from his family by a Prutarran Scouting Party & then awoke in a laboratory. Ce'Brorr was the one who ordered the scouting party to retrieve Gr'owwgle AND was in the lab when he came out of stasis briefly. He was abducted due to his abilities to sense and read auras in beings, but for what purpose ultimately will eventually be explained...<br /><br /><strong>Original Drawing from 1996</strong><br /><div><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DlGDZhdmKVk/TvjqKxIScrI/AAAAAAAAChM/zNVFYHkGoP8/s1600/Sun%2BStrikers-%2BCereBLOr%2B%2528Bionic%2BLiving%2BOrganisim%2529.jpg"><img style="width: 400px; height: 272px; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5690555599890313906" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DlGDZhdmKVk/TvjqKxIScrI/AAAAAAAAChM/zNVFYHkGoP8/s400/Sun%2BStrikers-%2BCereBLOr%2B%2528Bionic%2BLiving%2BOrganisim%2529.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><strong>Cereblor as drawn by Matt Doughty on December 11th 2011</strong><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cMxs-wZYDo4/TvjrCmprnwI/AAAAAAAAChw/1sAb2KW9rtg/s1600/Cereblor%2B%2528Drawn%2Bby%2BMatt%2BDoughty%2B12-11-2011%2529.jpg"><img style="width: 400px; height: 308px; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5690556559150259970" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cMxs-wZYDo4/TvjrCmprnwI/AAAAAAAAChw/1sAb2KW9rtg/s400/Cereblor%2B%2528Drawn%2Bby%2BMatt%2BDoughty%2B12-11-2011%2529.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />The stories of Slauria are vast, and as a young teenager I drew at least 200 different characters. His original back-story was he died at sea, but having no desire to stay dead, re-animated himself & joined Capt. An-grrr's crew. I liked how half his face was hidden behind an old pirate flag (maybe from his original ship?) and he had barnacles growing all over him. I remember being proud of thinking up the name 'Shipwreck' and completely forgot about the G.I. Joe character of the same name, so the name has to be changed. I never drew a picture of what he looked liked without the flag, but I always assumed it was scarred & disfigured. You know, seeing as he didn't even have hands, that must have made re-loading his cannon arm difficult.....ah well, it was a cool design anyway.<br /><br />Original Artwork/Drawing<br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sMn3RS3sNpo/TtakDkG3w9I/AAAAAAAACgQ/-WtMIohWhSM/s1600/Shipwreck%2B%2528Captain%2BAn-Grrr%2527s%2BCrew%2529%2B%255BSeries%2B28%255D.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 313px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sMn3RS3sNpo/TtakDkG3w9I/AAAAAAAACgQ/-WtMIohWhSM/s400/Shipwreck%2B%2528Captain%2BAn-Grrr%2527s%2BCrew%2529%2B%255BSeries%2B28%255D.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5680908361113519058" border="0" /></a><br /><br />I went with the name "<span style="font-weight: bold;">Keel'ovr</span>" (keel over) as it's an old nautical/pirate term for when someone is killed/dies so the name seemed appropriate given his back story. Changing him over to a canne'boid didn't take too much work, but unfortunately I had to go with a darker shade of blue as I couldn't find anymore of the blue that matched his original drawing much better. I also opted to give him one real hand and changed his anchor hand into a harpoon one. I was going to sculpt him a pirate flag to cover his skull face but I might just put some black cloth around it to make it appear his skull face IS the skull & crossbones from a pirate flag. I may also give him pants or some similiar clothing as he's looking a little incomplete to me. Maybe some red clothing to tie back into the original drawing?<br /><br />Keel'ovr<br />"The undead canne'pirate!"<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PYanab2HYSM/TtakDBNueyI/AAAAAAAACgE/zqySU0dcY2g/s1600/Keel%2527ovr%2B%2528Front%2529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PYanab2HYSM/TtakDBNueyI/AAAAAAAACgE/zqySU0dcY2g/s400/Keel%2527ovr%2B%2528Front%2529.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5680908351747029794" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Bio</span><br />"<span style="font-style: italic;">Ten years ago the canne'boid now known as 'Keel'ovr' was killed in battle by a blaster shot to the head. The blast took all the flesh off of the right side of his face leaving nothing but the bare bone exposed. In an odd turn o' events, this canne'boid was not wantin' to remain dead so Keel'ovr's soul re-possessed his water-logged body and he rose up from the depths to live again. As he is one of the undead, he can not be killed by conventional means & shrugs off most forms of injury like a wee guppy biting a whale. Since his left hand was blasted off during the attack, Keel'ovr grafted the tip of an old harpoon onto the stump to provide himself with a weapon. He joined my crew to find his killer so his soul can finally rest. Keel'ovr is a valuable warrior to me ship so I'm not too keen on loosin' him as a warrior. Unknown to everyone it was I, Capt. Spakk Jahroh, who killed Keel'ovr those 10 years ago. The bright flash from the blaster shot at such close range must have temporarily blinded him and kept my identity hidden.
